Lamento que este en Ingles... Pero espero que lo disfruten de todos modos Very Happy.

Hi! Like many of you, I love Ice Barriers! They are a very fun deck to play and their artwork is simply one the bests of the entire game.

Here is the decklist I have found to be the most effective/fun: http://i.imgur.com/e8tfh3T.png

This build will give you easy access to powerfull Rank 7 XYZs, great Syncho monsters, and one of the best fusion monsters ever made: Elemental Hero Absolute Zero.

Let me go though the decklist explaining why I choose each card:

1 General Gentala of the Ice Barrier: He is the main boss of the deck. An instant +1 each end phase that will allow you to estabish/keep locks, or be more agressive with Gungnir or Dewloren. He is also a very key card for your Rank 7 XYZs.

3 Tidal, Dragon Ruler of Waterfalls: He has 3 different and very vital uses in this deck: 1 drop Gentala (or whatever monster you need) in the graveyeard. 2 Give you access to Rank 7 XYZs. And 3 a great target for Miracle Fusion, letting you add another Tidal and posibly (though not all the time) use that second Tidal to tribute Absolute Zero and attack you opponent directly.

3 Strategist of the Ice Barrier: He helps you set up the graveyeard while at the same time giving a nice little draw engine. Strategist is the main non-tuner monster used to Syncho summon into Gungnir, Black Rose Dragon, Dewloren, and specially Arcanite Magician. Lastly, he will allow you to XYZ summon your Rank 4s.

2 Defender of the Ice Barreir: The main tuner of the deck, and a great wall for the control aspect of it.

1 Cryomancer of the Ice Barrier: Gives you access to Dewloren (for the control part of the deck) and to Armory Arm (for when you feel you need some more offensive power). Much like Defender, he also helps to stop your opponent from attacking you.

3 Prior of the Ice Barrier: Simply: this deck would not work without Prior! He will get your General Gentala on the field (or whatever Ice Barrier you might need), tune with Cryomancer into Armory Arm and with Defender into Catasor. Prior is also your main target for Surface and Call of the Hunted (since you can later tribute him to summon Gentala and idealy return that Call of the Hunted to you hand by Dewloren`s eff to be used next turn again).

2 Elemental Hero Bubbleman: He is in the deck for so many reasons... With him, now you can use another search card: ROTA. As you know, Ice Barrier simply don`t keep much hand advantage, so you will find his eff to be special summoned when you have no cards in hand very very usefull. Also, being able to XYZ summon with Strategist into all your Rank 4s and Syncho Summoning with Defender and Cryomancer into almost all of your Syncho monsters make him a very usefull tool in the deck. And, of course, with him you now have access to nothing less than Absolute Zero.
And I just have to say this... using Bubbleman`s second eff is simply beatiful.

2 Maxx "C": The only hand trap of the deck, and the one that answers its biggest problem: draw power/speed. In the worst case scenario that your opponent would never special summon (like an anti-meta deck or something) simply use him to Syncho summon with Defender into Catastor or with Cryomancer into Armory Arm.

3 Upstar Gablin: Adds speed and consistency to a combo center deck that needs it! Having one more card in your hand in this deck can make your entire play very different.

1 Reinforcement of the Army: Search power is one of the best tools for consistency. If you already drew all your target by the time you get to ROTA, use it as a cost for Gungnir`s eff, or simply as a bluff.

3 Medallion of the Ice Barrier: It searches almost every monster you have! Medallion of the Ice Barrier is simply one of the best searching cards in the entire game.

1 Foolish Burial: Do you have Prior/Call of the Hunted on your hand? = Drop Gentala. Do you have Miracle Fusion on your hand? = Drop Bubbleman. Do you have Arcanite Magician/Gungnir on the field? = Drop Tidal and go for a Rank 7 XYZ. Do you Surface on your hand and Gentala on the Grave? = Drop Prior.... You get the point Wink.

3 Surface: Surface is never dead in this deck. Ameazing card in middle/late game to re-establish your field after a Dark Hole or a Black Rose (maybe even your own Wink).

2 Miracle Fusion: ... and say hi to your second main boss monster: Absolute Zero. Banishing cards from the grave is a heavy cost for this deck (since you want to keep your key cards there, like Gentala, Defender, or Prior) so make sure to fill up the grave properly (your Rank 4 XYZs are great for that, as it is Tidal). But it is all woth it to summon the best fusion monster ever made! Absolute Zero`s second eff becomes alive and very vital in this deck.

1 Dark Hole: You will recover very easy with Prior, Surface, Call of the Hunter, Miracle Fusion or Tidal... will your opponent? Wink

2 Mystical Space Typhoon: This is a backrow heavy format, and you simply can`t compete without mst. A skill drain, or a Necrovalley would kill you!

3 Fiendish Chain: Monster effects are your biggest enemy... and Fiendish Chain takes care of that. Also, if you have Dewloren on the field, you can return Fiendish Chain to the hand to use it again next turn while at the same time giving Dewloren a nice +500 boost. That simple combo con get very annoying to deal with...

3 Call of the Hunted: You are thowing a lot of monsters in the graveyeard with Tidal, Strategist and Foolish... bring them back! Much like Fiendish Chain, this card is also abusable with Dewloren. Use in on Prior, tribute him to bring Gentala, and you have a free Call of the Hunted next turn! The same thing applies when you XYZ summon or Syncho summon with the monster you revive. Lastly, use it on your opponents turn to defend an empty field or to establish a lock with Defender and any other Ice Barrier you have.

1 Safe Zone: It has 2 simple uses: Priotect your monsters, or destroy your opponent`s monsers thanks to Dewloren`s eff (or their own mst...).

I think that the Extra deck has been already been explain as I went through the main Deck. Just some simple point to take into consideration: your Rank 4 XYZ are all there to provide "food" for Tidal and Miracle Fusion in adition to there awesome effects! Bahamult Shark is a simple way to get over Ophion, and gives you access to Mermail Abysstrite and in turn to Full Armed Black Ray Lancer, both great cards on their own. Abyss Dweller on the other hand, helps you agaist Dark Worlds, Mermails, Monarchs, etc. while at the same time giving all your water monsters are nice and sometime needed +500.

Well guys, that was my Ice Barrier deck. What do you think? How do you feel about it? Please feel free to use it, play test with it and let me know how it went! I`m always open to suggestions Smile.

I hope you enjoyed the deck profile and have fun with the deck! I look forward to your comments and suggestions. And don`t forget to share how it went on your play testing Smile.
